A BETTER PLACE TO PLAY

Bucks County Baseball Academy was created by Dan Kusters and Steve Marlow in 2002. Both played locally in high school (Archbishop Wood and Council Rock) and were scholarship athletes in college (Villanova and Penn State). The academy teams, The Generals, were created to provide a better place to play competitive baseball. The Generals culture strives to foster mentorship, developmental instruction, and guidance as baseball players, as well as their families, move from the little diamond, transition to the big diamond, prepare for high school, and reach the collegiate and professional levels. While doing this, the coaches and the players of the Generals often talk about character, integrity, respect (for the game, teammates, coaches, parents, umpires, and the opposition), self-discipline, grit, and resiliency.

Steve Marlow

Co-Director; NASM CPT, PES, CES; Driveline and Rapsodo Hitting and Pitching certified Coach Marlow was a scholarship athlete at Penn State University. Our Leadership

Alex Jacobs

Alex is the Director of Operations for the Bucks County Generals and has coached at the high school, college, and national travel levels of the game. He currently coaches at Stevens Institute of Technology after a previous stint at Delaware Valley University.

Courtney Riscica

Administrative Director Courtney has served as the Administrative Director for the Generals since 2021. She is also Mom to a former Generals player.

JR Barder

Collegiate Placement Coordinator Coach Barder has over 20 years of tournament coaching experience and amassing CYO, Cal Ripken, Philadelphia Department of Recreation, Montco, Del Val and AAU championships at age levels from 8U to 16U. Jeremy Stewart

GENERALS Baseball Coach Coach Jeremy Stewart joined the Generals in 2018. He joined the Generals after being a 4 year starter with the Delaware Valley Aggies. Connor Woodson

Connor is a player development coach for the Bucks County Generals. A Collegiate ball player, he is the 10U Black Assistant Coach for Fall 2025, and will also coach in the High School program. Connor is also a Coach in our Future Stars Summer Camp program.

Garvey Williams

Garvey is a player development coach with the Bucks County Generals. Garvey played at the collegiate level. He is currently Assistant Coach of our 15U Red team, and in the Fall will continue to coach in our High School program, as well as serve as Head Coach for 9U Red.

Isaac Criss

Coach Criss played D2 Collegiate Baseball. He is a player development coach in the Generals program. Currently Isaac is the Summer 2025 15U Red Head Coach and the Fall 13U Red Head Coach.

Andrew Bristol

Sean Udris

GENERALS Baseball Coach Coach Sean Udris first joined the Generals in 2013. He went on to play Division 1 baseball for Central Connecticut State University from 2014-2018. Vinnie D’Agostino and Tom D’Agostino

Generals Baseball Coaches Coaches Vinnie and Tom D’Agostino joined The GENERALS in 2013. As incredible teachers and mentors, Coach Tom and Vinnie have successfully developed hundreds of athletes to transition from the 60 foot diamond to the 90 foot field. This Fall, they will be assisting with training of all teams.

Mike McCarthy

Coach Mike has been with the Generals for five years and is currently the 12U head coach and the Director of the Future Stars Summer Camp in Newtown. Coach Mike also helps with camps and private lessons.

Matt McCarthy

GENERALS Baseball Coach Coach Matt McCarthy is entering his fourth year as a GENERALS coach. The former 2019 Suburban One All League honoree has been a key component to developing our 13u through 15u GENERALS. Coach McCarty will be the assistant coach for our 15u Black GENERALS.

Carlos Omana

Carlos Omana is the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Generals. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida along with a Master’s Degree in Human Performance from Liberty University. Ray Schmoltze

CoachCoach Ray graduated 2007 from Neshaminy High School and graduated 2011 from Neumann University and was a Pitcher/Outfield. Mike Cruz

Generals Baseball Coach Coach Mike Cruz has been with the GENERALS since 2018. Coach Cruz directs the catching camps at the Chalfont facility. He also assists with all the off season camp programs. This season, Coach Cruz will be the head coach of the 12u Black GENERALS.
