SOFTBALL INSTRUCTION & CAMPS

The Bucks County Armada softball program applies The Bucks County Generals comprehensive and proven training protocols to the softball diamond to develop hitters.

For players looking to become better hitters, this camp promises to improve the skills of hitting, help players to hit the ball with proper ball flight, and teach players how to approach an at-bat.  This camp can also be paired with a total body, explosive power training program.

December – February

Two 60-minute sessions per week camps (Mondays/Wednesdays) offer the following:

• Drills will be used to develop barrel control on all pitch types, create efficient and explosive mechanics, and maximize ball exit speed. 
• Skills are taught by leveraging randomized, outcome-based training that helps execution at a high level on the field.
• Rapsodo and Blast will also be used to collect hitting metrics and identify areas for improvement.  Coach Marlow is certified with Rapsodo Hitting and in Driveline’s Hitting Development Program.
• The two sessions per week camp also includes an optional, Add on 20 minute circuit based full body workout available to focus on strength, power and stability and  compliments the hitting workout. 

Ball exit speed and launch angle are metrics used to evaluate elite hitters

In our camps last year, we had an average ball exit speed gain of 7 mph with our players.  
Why is this important?  

Because an increase in bat speed and ball exit speed directly correlates with higher batting averages and on base percentages.

FULL BODY EXPLOSIVE TRAINING

After the hitting camp, stick around and participate in a 20 minute full body, circuit style training program focusing on strength, stability and power.  This program is created by Coach Marlow, who is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. 

**For players that are also signed up for the pitching development program, this workout will not be necessary. 

Add On is $79 a month for any month!
